Lyrical dancing is performed to music that has lyrics that are inspirational to the dancer or choreographer and focuses on the expression of the emotion that song conveys. Movements in lyrical are characterised by fluidity and grace in response to rhythm and lyrics. This style has a softer quality.
As a form it requires dancers to understand and interpret emotional maturity, physical flexibility and co-ordination.The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns. Perfect for any dancers repertoire.
